STREAM is WPP’s annual (un)conference, popularised by WIRED as “one of the world’s best tech conferences". For its 2025 APAC edition in Bali, I was selected as the product designer to build its first full digital companion, marking a major milestone in STREAM’s history.

What I did

As the product designer, I built STREAM’s end-to-end web experience to drive engagement across the full event lifecycle—pre-event, on-site, and post-event. This included leading stakeholder workshops, mapping user journeys, and defining data touchpoints to architect the full digital ecosystem.

The experience included:

  • Pre-event onboarding

  • Event schedule + robust session booking

  • Participant directory

  • Digital name cards for networking

  • Shuttle tracker + booking flow

  • Post-event survey and documentation gallery

Results

  • 100% engagement rate across attendees

  • 4.2/5 stars in participant surveys, praised for being “fresh,” “innovative,” and “making participation easier”

  • Enabled smoother event prep, on-ground navigation, and post-event follow-ups

  • Recognized by leadership as a model worth scaling across future runs

On a personal note: Balancing this build with day-to-day work was intense, but watching attendees interact with the platform on-site made it all feel incredibly worthwhile. Gathering feedback straight from the field was a rare, energising reminder of why I love product design.
