Spoiler Break is an award-winning creative commerce innovation that reimagines online behavior as brand opportunity. By building a browser plug-in that converts spoilers into real-time promotions, we turned avoidance into engagement while proving that even unwanted content can drive meaningful interaction.

What I did

I led the UX for the plug-in experience, working across creative and tech to bring the concept to life. This included defining user flows, interaction patterns, and the engagement model while collaborating closely with the creative team to translate their vision into something functional, intuitive, and playful. My focus was ensuring the plug-in delivered maximum delight and maximum engagement for our client.

Why it matters

For Gen Z, streaming is the new self-care — their go-to way to unwind. But while KitKat champions “taking a break,” it wasn’t showing up in the digital rituals where breaks actually happen. Movie spoilers, on the other hand, are constant, disruptive, and nearly impossible to avoid. That moment of frustration became our opening

Results

The project moved through three sprints of iterative design and prototyping before launch. Spoiler Break earned:

These wins became key momentum as the project progresses toward Cannes, proving the creative and strategic strength of the concept.
